The Human Body for Level 4

These lesson plans were developed by Grade 5/6 teachers at Pinewood Primary School in Mt. Waverley VIC working with two third year Biology Students from Monash University.

There are 6 lessons in total and each is supported by a PowerPoint presentation which can be downloaded with the lesson files.

The lessons are set out in an order which allows the teacher to introduce the body from the perspective of its chemical composition and then build on the students knowledge as they are introduced to some of the main body systems. The final lesson allows the students to reflect on what they have learnt over the course of the topic.
