Science Club has continued with another fantastic year in 2011. Students have met with research staff and gained insight into the current research in areas such as astrobiology, taphonomy, nanocrystals and prenatal physiology. Students have also undertaken their own research to assess the fluctuation in biotic and abiotic factors of a local lake environment. The Monash Science Centre and CETEC Science Club is a unique program that offers students the opportunity to meet and learn from guest Monash University research scientists and lecturers from a vast range of fields. Over the course of the program students will develop skills required for science inquiry through extensive and exciting experiments and projects. The club is open to students in Grade 5 to Year 8. Please note: Children are placed in a group based on their year level at school. There are no exceptions. ![]() Phd student, Kent Wooton with the Labrats at the Australian Synchrotron ![]()
