In2science - Peer Mentoring in Schools Program
The In2science peer mentoring in schools program offers University Science students the opportunity to volunteer as a science mentor in secondary schools for about 1-2 hours per week over a school term (8-10 weeks). As part of the program science students are matched with a secondary school and class, and work collaboratively with the teacher in ways that enhance the experience of science for the teachers and students. It is an opportunity to impart your valuable and up-to-the-minute knowledge of science with the wider community.
In2science is an exciting and innovative program that gets to the heart of Science and Mathematics through the use of university students as peer role models to engage with State Government high school students (Yr7 - 10) and teachers.
